Tutu’s House is a project of Friends of the Future, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Your donation is deductible to the full extent allowed by law, provided that no goods are services exchanged for the donation. Each individual's financial picture is unique. We suggest you seek the advice of their tax advisor and legal counsel for details as needed.

"Tutu's House is supported by donations and grants from the community. You are essential to Tutu's House existence."

In our first 15 years, Tutu’s House grew from a handful of monthly programs and a few books tucked away in a small space to a jam packed calendar of activities, a full library, and two large gathering spaces. Tutu’s House growth and success are due to community support.

Tutu’s House growth  is a result of community support in the way of volunteers, material donations, and financial donations.

To maximize accessibility and minimize financial barriers to participation, Tutu’s House activities, presentations, and support groups are generally offered with no fees.

While there is no fee for participation in Tutu’s House, there are still costs incurred to sustain Tutu’s House. For example, the Tutu’s House newsletter, Ho`o Wala`au, is mailed to over 1,250 homes in North Hawai`i.

The Ho`o Wala`au monthly production costs are:
  • paper = $300

  • printing = $120

  • mailing = $125

While posting Ho`o Wala`au online has helped to contain these costs, we will continue to incur costs for staff to schedule our calendar, host the events, etc.

Your donation will help Tutu’s House continue:
  • to provide you, your family and your community with valuable activities, presentations, and support groups;

  • to inform you of these upcoming events; and

  • to share an array of health and wellness information ~ with aloha.
