Tutu's House New Health, Physical Activity and Nutrition Enrichment Curriculum!

Tutu's House provides health education enrichment for students in North Hawaii schools.  We have developed a series of lessons that are aligned with the State of Hawaii Department of Education Content and Performance standards.  They are listed below and available for download and review.

K-2 ~ "All About Me" Series

Kid Fit
A physical activity lesson that introduces children to the five components of fitness and reinforces these concepts in the game "SuperHero Fitness".

A lesson on emotions that helps children identify their feelings and provides ways to cope with stress.

3-5 ~ "Healthy Bodies" Series

Bones and Muscles
A science and  physical activity lesson that explores the function of bones and muscles and the need to keep them healthy through good nutrition and exercise.

A health and physical activity lesson that explores the anatomy and function of the heart and lungs.

Don't Stress
A lesson on identifying stress, how it feels and how to better cope with stress.

6-8 ~ "Making Good Choices" Series

Nutrition 101
A lesson focusing on food groups and portion sizes. Fun cashew burning experiment as a bonus calorie lesson!

Be Tobacco Free
A lesson on the effects of smoking. Fun experiment showing how tar build up in the lungs.
